Fire it up, the egg'll melt all that
happy in the hut

That shouldn't stop you, get out there and cook. -RP

Aww, there aren't even any drifts. Its not even fun till you can slide halfway from the Egg to the door hugging a collapsing butt to your chest :woohoo:
-
First you have to shovel a path throught the 10 in. of snow to get to it. You can't get a snowblower back in there. My stove in the kitchen is looking real good.
-
Fire it up! I woke up yesterday to our first dusting, then did some stuffed pork loin roasts wrapped in bacon. One of the main factors that I considered when buying the eggs, was the cold weather perspective. When I lived in Tucson, I didn't mind tending the offset in the mild weather. Last winter was the last straw for me...I'm gettin' too old to be out there in freezing weather trying to keep the offset "anywhere near" my target temp. I really love my eggs!

Listen to you, sitting in Tucson. Is it going to be a little chilly there today, mid 70's maybe. Come on up and give us an "Egging in snow class". Remember we're newbies and have never eggsperienced this. The snow is great for packing we could make a big egg out of snow in my front yard.
-
Never thought about the technical end. We're all ready struggling enough with this egging stuff. I'd love to see AZRP give a class in this winter wonderland.
-
Hey, I had to brave the low 40s coming into work this morning, which means I couldn't wear shorts. And you think you've got it rough. :woohoo: -RP
-
LOL!! That would be fun!! We do have 2 ft. drifts in areas. You can't see them in this picture. I can't believe this it's only Dec. 1st and this is starting. Lot of businesses and schools are closed here.
-
Blah blah blah blah blah!!! I feel so sorry for you!!
-
You forget I grew up in Naperville, IL and am quite familiar with winter weather. I just choose not to partake in it anymore. :P -RP

Global warming. -RP

We got a dusting here
-
Didn't know you grew up in Naperville. Very smart man to get out of the midwest. Hopefully we'll be in AZ permanently real soon.
-
You're very lucky. Where are you located?
-
Anne,
The land of the wind chill factor. From where I sit that looks like a light dusting. We got ten inches last night too. It sat really nice on top of the foot we already had.

Send some of that my way. Guess no mid-winter eggfest for you? My date got postphoned.

Mike -
Actually, you can have all of our snow Mike. Where were those photos taken? Not my idea of an "Eggfest". I hope OKC will have good weather. I know Ocala will, looking forward to that one.
Sorry to hear that things have been postponed again. That really stinks. -

Careful Anne. Pete will call you a whiner! I might loose my crown! All because I sniveled a little after this happened last year!

that is my back door last year!
my poor 8 inch "COG" (Cat/Dog!) LOL all 6 pounds of her -
Now that's something to whine about. Wow! 8-10 isn't that bad after all. Poor "Cog", could get lost out there real easily. We used to have to bischons and we really had to keep an eye on them in the winter after a storm. I look forward to meeting you in Ocala. I don't know a whole lot of women eggers. I think we're outnumbered on this forum.
-
I've been through the Blue Ridge mts., that's really beautiful country. How neat to just walk across the street and cut down your christmas tree.

Real Snow
This is where I was from.
No stike I didn't move south to get away from it. It is the one thing I miss.. -
You'd be a shut-in with your trusty red 4 wheeler you're driving these days.
If you really truly miss that, I'm going to have toquestioni your intelligence. You mave have your mensa card revoked. -
I guess I shouldn't talk about intelligence when you look at my typos. Yikes!!
-
We got a little over the weekend. Those pics were at Broc's (Council Bluffs Iowa)place in mid Feb of last year. Actually it got up to 39 thaa day. Drove to moms afterwards and woke up to this.

Mike -
I will admit that come June it gets really old!!!
Oswego is on the South East side of Lake Ontario. The lake doesn't freeze so all the storms coming from Canada pick up moisture from the lake and dump it on NY.
Oswego is bad, but the Tug Hill Plateau in NY is worse.
Tug Hill is the area due East of Lake Ontario.
Yes I was known to fire up my charcoal grill in the dead of winter and grill me some steak. If I had an egg back then I would have been cooking outside more.. -
Pete,
Wrong side of the lake when the prevailing wind is from the nothwest. Now I get snow from Lake Huron.

I didn't say you were a Whimp hahahaha
If I remember right the only thing between you and Oswego, NY IS Lake Ontario ...
Tough to get people to understand what a good lake effect storm is capable of if they have never been in one.
