How much time will it take to smoke a 22lb turkey, using

The usual time... 325, 15 mins per pound.

I've always wanted to do this every time I see a can of Foster's! But can you really get a 22 lb turkey, upright, on the egg? Remove the fire ring? I'd agree with Phil's time/temp estimate below. Take pics.

for a 22lb bird on a can, you may need to pull the fire ring to get the clearance. . ..when we did the beercan bird at fred's a couple of weeks ago we let it go a little hotter (around 375 dome temp). ...still took a good 4 - 5 hours for a big bird (and it wasn't that big). .. so yeah, figure on the 15 minutes per pound. ...and besides the beer in the pan, throw a can or two of beer in the drip pan (you aren't going to use those dripping for gravy anyway). . .
