I'm about to place an order with J.H. Aside from their wonderful, pecan rub, I'm wondering if there might be some others that I shouldn't be missing out on. Any suggestions? Thanx!

The only other one I've tried is the hot wing rub. I do not recommend it - way too salty.

Among the one's I would recommend are Tammy's Herbal, quite good on a wide variety of foods, and Nedra D’s Hickory Rub Seasoning, which is a very mild sweet rub. Nedra's is listed under bulk spices.

Mohave Garlic, Texas Chicken Tickler, Chipotle Raspberry are all good. Stay away from the peach.

A 2nd for Tammy's Herbal. Good for poultry, fish, veggies.

i use the Texas Brisket rub all the time, the apple chipotle is warm and fuzzy along with the Texas pig and Jalapeno rub.
i have most of their product line and am not a big fan of the sweeter fruit stuff. although a couple tablespoons of Rasp chipotle in a container of sour cream is a very tasty dip.
i find that mixing any new spice or rub with a little sour cream gives you the opportunity to taste the final overtones better then just tasting it straight. -
I have grown to like the Alabama Butt Rub. Anything using those 3 words in one sentence has to be good.

I've got John Henry's "Lil Tater's Spud Rub". Kind of bland if you ask me...

I got a 5 pack from BBQ's galore, they were going out of business here in Atlanta it was regularly 24.99, I believe I paid 20 even for it after the discount. Forget what all was in there, but you might have some luck on their website if they are still selling through that. I haven't done a lot of experimenting with them yet, but I am looking forward to.
