My Dad was a Smokeater. Passed young from lung cancer too. Never smoked a day in his life. Bless him.

It sounds like it was a honored to know him and his family. He had to be one of the greatest people who has walk this earth, to serve and be committed to what he loved doing. God Bless him and his whole family, our prayers go out to them and to all his friends also. I know for him to pick a friend Like you Doug he must have been a special person.

Sorry for the loss. It's sucks when a good persons number is called. Someone that has and would risk his life as a fighter. It does not seem fair when you see sh**bags live to 90 that serve no value to humanity.

Just read the article- I get that paper at home-and made the kids read it as well. You hate to lose someone so young who was so well-liked in our community. A lesson- live it like there is no tomorrow because you never know what tomorrow will bring.
