Good morning Eggheads and those with an Egg deficit.

Once again I was in deep dreamstate, this time clerking at a large Chicago mercantile store sewing notions counter in the early 20th century. Thread and needles were my specialty. I knew them all and could advise customers as to which type and style of needle and color of thread was appropriate for every situation. I was known far and wide as "The Man" when it came to thread and needles. On this particular day a well known movie starlet visited my counter. She was ravenously beautiful and dressed accordingly. Her popularity resulted in a rather sizable crowd following her every move. There were even a few picture takers from the newspaper and magazine industry there with their big bulky picture taking devices flashing every few base time units. I suppose they intended to create a story around one particular picture for their readers, and I wondered what happened to all the other pictures that went unused. Was the moment frozen in time without purpose? Would that create a warp in the time/space continuum? Would I get my fifteen time units of fame on this day? I asked if I could assist her with her needs. She smiled and said "yes" in the most provocative way imaginable. I asked "How?" And suddenly my plumbing alert went off, instantly bringing me back to the reality of the present, the recharging station and my duties. With no time to spare I kicked back the protective coverings and reverted to vertical positioning that was instantly in forward motion in the direction of the facility maintenance department with it's welcoming porcelain furniture. At some point I fired off a couple of boosters to hasten my progress. It helped... I made it with .002 base time units to spare. And as I stood there with the pressure release lever in hand I silently wondered if my famous customer was served on that day, at that moment, in that store, at that counter by that facsimile of me. Wonder what it was she needed? I suppose if I could find one of those pictures I could build a story around it using the endless possibilities that stir the gray matter. Naaaaaa!

My mission to the facility maintenance department completed, satisfactorily I might add, I turned my attention to verifying the operation of the interior illuminator of the refrigeration device. To my relief it was working properly.

Then to the external viewing portal where I confirmed perimeter security was in full bloom with Deputy Larry Ropa at his post. I had earlier toured the Coop, specifically looking for signs of intrusion by the yet to be identified intruder that made the storage rack above the Coop refrigeration unit a priority in his/her/its destructive efforts a few planet rotations ago. I had prepared a very sticky surprise for him/her/it should he/her/it return. The sticky surprise was missing in its entirety and items of importance were in disarray so I concluded that the perpetrator had in fact become party to yet another attempt to biofluid me off. But this time he/she/it met with extreme countermeasures. Surely, the negative experience will be sufficient reason for him/her/it to avoid such a re-encounter in the future.

I moved on to the communications center and found that a few familiar late bloomers were submitting reports. Given there were 7 Members and 86 Guests on hand to read the reports I figured I would not be needed. Perhaps I could return to dreamstate and see if my customer was properly served. More important, find out exactly what it was she needed from the sewing materials I sold.

Say goodnight Leroy.
