Disposable Grill Grates

So it looks like I'm heading to St. George without an Egg. The house we're renting has a "park style" grill, so I'm looking to buy some disposable grill grates... BUT I've looked at Family Dollar and a few other places, but can't find... Anyone in the Atlanta area see them recently in a store? I want to go get some...

I usually see them at Wal-Mart.
Another option is to use pizza screens. They clean up fine in the dishwasher.
Where are you staying at St. George? Great place to get away from everything. -
Fidel...you are usually right on. I just went to Wally world last week to buy some....no go. The Christmas decorations have taken up the outdoor/grilling stuff. Even our brand new Walmart...only has kingford briquettes....yuck. I can't find the pizza screens either.
Let me know if anyone has luck finding them.

Lowes usually has a product called Grill Topper if memory serves, an aluminum deal about 12" by 18" in a pack of 2 for about five dollars. They're flimsy, but I am thinking you will be placing them on top of some existing grill.

We're renting through Resort Vacation Properties. We're center island, not on the beach but a private walk way to it... Next week is the first week of "off season", so the rate is reasonable... 4b/4ba, pool, hot tub, etc. Plus, we're all bringing our dogs so it should be a great week - but alas, no Egg! There's a mini on Craigslist for $175, but not sure I want to spend that much for what is probably a one time use...
Unfortunately, I'll miss the N GA Eggers thing next weekend since I'll be away... -
Where are you in Atlanta? I have some screens I can let you use. I'd even let you borrow the mini if you promise to love her.
I rented through RVP, too. We had a house in the Plantation end and it was a wonderful vacation. Turns out the last house we rented was actually owned by a couple that lives less than 5 miles from us in the Atlanta area. -
Your right Kim but I ask someone and they showed me where they move them out in the green house section for Christmas.I bought 6 to bring to Eggtoberfest.

I'm near downtown Decatur in an intown neighborhood called Kirkwood (very near L5P). Hmmmmm... if I borrow your mini, I won't need the grill grates... let me think about it. I'm still trying to reason my way out of buying the one on CL... though it may be gone by the time I make up my mind... I'll send you an email... THANKS!

The WM here always has them on a shelf in the outdoor area. I can check for them tomorrow.

yes Larry....I asked too. They took me to the green house section....and it was scarce. You'd think that living in AZ....they'd know we have year round outdoor cooking. I'll keep my eyes open...I know that the day after Christmas...they'll start stocking for summer again. Maybe I should check online????
