Move over Sweet Baby Rays and Famous Daves! I have a new favorite sauce and its called Blues Hog. Ive had it in the cabinet for about 3 weeks and broke it out tonight on some baby backs. Its definately a sweet sauce but it was just awesome on these baby backs. Anyone who likes a sweet sauce needs to try this one. I used the original and have never had the red either.

beautiful ribs. The Ten Red is more of a vinegar based sauce.

Oh, yeah -- That's good stuff.
Thanks to Car Wash Mike and Casey I have some.

If you want to try some experimenting in cutting the sweetness then mix 4 parts regular Blue's to 1 part Blue's Ten Red. It really does tone down the sauce, but makes it a winner IMHO. OTOH Blue's out of the jar is NOT the same sweet taste as Blue's regular after the basting.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

I just did a 50/50 mix a few weeks ago. Didn't like it as much as I did the original. I will try this 4/1 ratio though.

It is good stuff. You can also try blending the regular and Tennessee Red for a new taste.

Guys I never used it before 3 weeks ago! In fact I searched for it in Chicago & couldn't find it! My friend brought it in from St. Louis for me. But here is the kicker, I wanted to try my first KCBS Competition, I entered: used the Blues Hog straight & came in 4th in chicken & 9th in ribs! The sauce is fantastic. I actually warmed it up a little before applying to the chicken & ribs: it made it easier to work with! I want to try The Ten Red.
