where is the camera when you need it?? I left it at work last night and really wished I had had it this morning on the way in. I was a little late cause I had to pull over and watch a huge bald eagle for about 10 minutes. It was eating something by the edge of the road and I pulled up about 3 car lengths from it and it flew a little ways and dropped the carcass it was eating to roost in a tree right in front of me. the sun was hitting him just right and all the fall leaves around him and the huge rocks.. it was a very pretty site. He was not scared of me at all. No Monarchs here :) but some pretty cool sites just the same :)

thats the way it always is, catch a big fish and no camera. bought a really nice nikon d60 rescently to replace my kodak pocket camera, hated the kodack but it had an incredible zoom for bird pics, the nikon needs a lens upgrade and then the zoom lens i need wont be with me either. in that pic there is a beautiful pileated woodpecker, too bad my cheaper kodak is broken, it could have been a great shot

ive got no editing talent whatsoever, what pisses me off is the fact it comes in great on the little screen on the camers and then you get it into the computer and resize it and its a psychedelic mess. and the bird was maybe 14 inches tall and not that far away

Bought my wife the Nikon D40x(they came out with the D60 the next week) and had the same problem. It came with a 18-55 and 55-200 lens.I bought the Nikon 70-300 VR lens and took these pictures of a pileated woodpecker a few weeks ago.I bought myself a Nikon D90 3 days before Eggtoberfest and really like it.

i never really thought about that, cropping with the camera before downloading it. gotta go read the book again, now that ive used it a while it will be easier to pick up on things that i didnt understand the first time thru.

Look at one of the pictures on the camera and push the button on the bottom left and every time you push it the bird or what ever will be closer and you can center it using the left, right or up and down button.
