How many butts can

I fit on an XL egg?I am guessing 6-8 lbs each.I think that 2 will fit on my home-made extender,but don't know how many will fit on the grid :blink:Any tips or suggestions will be appreciated

It may help to have a baster ready to suck out some of the fat during the cook. I did 32 lb in a large and it would have over flowed my drip pan if I had not emptied some. Good luck, Pdub

these were all 8-11 lbs and a drip pan is a great idea

i think around 15-18 hours...
seriously use a drip pan..... you can see i know from eggsperience

You can get six on the grate without the extender. Why do you need that many?

Thanks Pete,I was guessing that six would fit :woohoo:I am helping out a fellow egger,who is limited to a large,but needs to cook 10+ butts for a church gathering.I will be cooking these on Saturday/Sunday to be pulled,then frozen until the 25th.
