Good morning Eggheads and those with enough sense to get out of the path of Hurricane Ike.
No plumbing emergency. I am returned to vertical because I could not enter re-charge mode after two time units of performing turning and tossing maneuvers in the recharge station. Who can possibly enter full recharge mode when a major disaster is but a few time units away? Just thinking about the destructive nature of the storm and the probable aftermath is enough to make one extremely uncomfortable, not to mention personally threatened and really, really -issed off. Even so, The entire staff at the Chicken Ranch has decided to remain here and suffer whatever wrath is presented us until this extreme irritant departs the area.
I had previously made multiple checks of the refrigeration illuminator and I am satisfied that it is functioning properly. At least for the moment. It is my understanding that power will likely fail, possibly for many dark/light periods, as damage to the area is amassed. This will, of course, necessitate extreme conservation measures of the chilled air inside the refrigeration unit. Frozen oxygen/hydrogen mix is already in short supply (non existent) so some items my require early consumption.
As a precaution, all Ranch crew members, along with all unsecured items have been herded into the main abode for the duration. This includes Rodney Dangerbird. As highly excitable as he is regarding threats to the Ranch, he had to be put in hibernation mode. Everyone just got tired of hearing him crow and crow and crow. Ranch security is no longer an issue. Survival has taken its place.
In an attempt to update Coop Party records I spent time updating the list of those coming to the party. We are now officially at 48 with a few more who are slow in getting in their RSVP's. Among those coming are a number of newbie's and wannabee's. They are equally Eggcited and can't wait to get here. If you want to check out the updated list go to: http://chickencoopparty.blogspot.com/
Meanwhile, I checked the Forum and discovered one active participant, CW, who is keeping vigil of the Inter-Truders who constantly try to disrupt intergalactic communications. Other than him, there are 16 Members and 108 Guests on board but not interested in chat-chit. With that I shall attempt to return to horizontal in the recharging station.
Say goodnight Leroy.
