We have had ours for almost two years. Just love them and wish I had discovered them sooner! I know we have a lot of newbies on here but who is the "oldest" egger? LOL and ages do not count here!

I've had my Egg for almost eight years, but I've only understood how to do it right for the past year or so...since I've been a member here. Our family is eating much better, and much cheaper, as a result.
-
Got my first one in Southeast Asia in 1968 and after 4-5 years of enjoying it. It broke into a million pieces in a move. Got my large in '02 and small in '06. Sure miss the ole orange one.

I am in my 5th year with the egg, I lurked & posted on the forum until joining this summer (got tired of putting in the visitor password every time I wanted to say something, when did that start anyway, it wasn't always there?). Funny thing is I have been trying to talk anyone & everyone that has ever seen & eaten from the egg here into pick'n up an egg yet have never had any success; I am still the only one I know personally that has one :( . Good thing this site is here or I'd have nobody to compare notes withhappy in the hut

Bought mine in Japan 1970. Been repaired and rebuilt but still going strong. Just bought a new firebox and new fire ring finally. Almost ruined it by over heating it and not knowing exactly how to use it. This forum showed me the way.

I gave myself a birthday present in June of 96. My egg has been around the world and back. I traded recipes once with a guy I met on the BGE web site way before the forum. Don't remember his name. Picked up a large early part of 2002. Found out quickly what I had been missing all those years. Added a small in 2005. Lately thinking about how much I "need" a mini too.Larry

I've had my egg for 2 1/2 months. I'm a real newbie.
When I went into the store to purchase some Weber grills for my mother and sister for mother's day, I spied a BGE. I'd never seen one before. I couldn't get it out of my mind. I lurked on the forum and several weeks later called and had the store deliver my egg.
I'll be going to the Eggtoberfest this year and hope to mean fellow eggers and learn more things and taste wonderful food!

Got my first Kamada cooker in Japan in 1972. Ruined a couple of them by getting them too hot. Got my first BGE in 1995 (large). Am now lost in Mexico without it but when we move back to the US I will get it out of storage.

Can't believe it, but 11 years

My lovely bride bought me my first Large egg in 1997. I think she bought around July 4th and her and 2 of neighbor ladies helped her drag it out of the SUV and "manhandled" it into the Living room. Placed a linen cloth over it and presented it to me for my birthday in October. Nobody could believe that I did not see for almost 4 months. My excuse, the football games on TV were in the great room, no need to go into the Living room.

Considering some of the older (not age wise) eggers I am a newbie with only 4 years under my belt.Everyday is Saturday and tomorrow is always Sunday.

TB. gave up the ghost. I got the NFL package, so I'm watching at home. The bride is thrilled to death, I'm not wasted when we come home from the game. She already has the menu for after the game set. White Pizza and final instructions NO smelly fish on it !!! Yoi, 39 years and counting. Gotta go and watch East Carolina hopefully giving the WVU boys a battle.
-
Started egging just before thanksgiving 2007. Come along way since first cook, largely because of info on this forum.~HOPE~ is wishing something would happen. ~FAITH~ is believing something will happen. ~COURAGE~ is making something happen......
