Does anyone have a Big Green Egg Instant Read Digital Meat Thermometer? Do they work good? I need a thermometer, and they are less than Therapen. Any commets would be helpful. Thanks

    Call Thermoworks and get a refurb. thermapen.They are worth the extra $.

    The BGE one is a look alike, but not an instant read like a Thermapen. Trust me holding your hand over a hot searing fire for 10 t 12 seconds while the BGE reads the temp and you'll kick yourself - let alone have a painful experience for going cheap!

    As others have said, the BGE is not instant read. I talked to a dealer that sells them and he told me the same thing.

    Get in touch with Molly Shark on this forum. She has the best deal on the Thermapen for us Eggheads. You will be glad you did.

    I saved up and bought one from her. Great price and great service, and I love it.

    I have one. IMO there is a reason for the price difference. Spring for the T-pen. It is worth the money.
