Got to love Ebay. Hattori 6 inch and the cheapest I have found around 130 bucks. Sniped it for 93 ship and insurance.

Very nice. I was in Kyoto about a year a go and went to a knife museum/shop. Still kicking myself for not buying a chef's knife.

wow that's a beauty. careful that japanese steel takes a screamin sharp edge.. i leave mine in the drawer if i have had adult beverages.. careful my friend , limonade and hattori is a dangerous combo. :laugh:

I like the folds of steel in the blade. A well made knife will last many years, is a good investment and at the price you paid, a sweet deal. Enjoy!

Awwww yeah! That is a sweet knife you got there, partner! I've worked with 7" santoku and 8/10" chef's knives, but never a 6". That looks like something I'd like to try out and work with for a while--just have to keep it away from the boss, otherwise she would be trying to use it as a cleaver! She did that the other day, and I almost passed out...hehe!
