need to delete my username

WMK, I have some information in the system probably from the old forum that will not let me create a new sign in. I think its my username (jmsterl). Would you please delete it so I can get back on instead of having to post as a guest. thanks

    I found your account information and sent out a confirmation email to get you going on your existing account. We prefer to avoid deleting accounts because any existing posts become "orphans" when we do that. Once you get your account confirmed, then you'll be able to edit your profile and change anything you like (e.g. your handle or username, etc.). If the email address in your profile is not correct (e.g. because it has changed), then I'll need to update it and send out another confirmation.

    Hmmm, you should have received it by now. Have you checked your "spam" folder?

    Perhaps we should update your email address. Please email me at registrations at eggheadforum dot com from an email address you'd like to use (or you can put one in the email). I'll update your profile and we'll try again.

    Hmm, we have a boatload of user that have yahoo email addresses; and, AFAIK, there's no issues with getting emails through to yahoo users.

    Have you checked you "spam" folder(s)? Can you add us to your "whitelist", or whatever yahoo's equivalent is? The registration emails come from registrations at eggheadforum dot com.

    Wmk, send again. reset my spam blocker so it should appear in my spam folder if thats the problem. Dam, never had such a time just trying to log on.lol Jim

    wellll, I have to admit a goof WMK. I failed to save the setting in the spam blocker so it reverted back to deleting all spam recieved. If you have the time send it again or tell me to go to hades and I will keep signing in as a guest as i am getting pretty good at it now. Sorry.

    I give up. Did not recieve in e mail or spam folder. One last chance and lets call it quits. Send it to my wife's e mail if you can > je373865@hotmail.com. If this don't work then thanks for all the trouble WMK. Jim

    Okay, I'll try that address, but first, are we sure the address in your account is correct? What is the email address you'd like to use (other than your wife's)? I'll check to be sure it's correct before we give up. I'm still not 100% sure I've got the right account. I can look it up by email address to be sure.

    i finally recieved your e mail and the information was correct. i clicked on the link and recieved response saying my account was activated and i could log in. tried to log in and it said the username or password was wrong. back to square one. I will just sign in as a guest. I only use the forum to get advice from the people when i need it so its no big deal.thanks for all your effort. jim
