I am going to a cooking competition what is the best way to transport it so the ceramic won't crack?
Has anybody else cooked competively with their green eggs?

I've never traveled with my egg, but a LOT of teams do so.... Dizzy Pig, etc....

Any tips this is our first attempt at a cooking contest.

I use a table for mine. The XL travels in it's nest secured to the ramp of my trailer. Some guys will take the insides out of their eggs and then put them in their cars. There is a plywood egg carrier you can search for on this forum some people can use.
I have done a little competition cooking. My advice is do a practice run so your timing is down. -
Thank you buster,
I also have a table. I will take out my insides so they don't crack. The only problem I see is my xl Egg sits on bricks, I hope when I hit a bump the outside does not crack. (I had to put it on bricks so it would sit right in my egg.) What did you cook in your competition.
Thanks

Chicken, ribs, pork and brisket.
I have not had any issues with the insides. But you need to do what you are comfortable with. -
I've got a couple of the wood transporters that I move mine in. I leave the insides alone. I've brought Eggs home from Omaha Nebraska to Ohio and from Atlanta and Oklahoma City too. They travel well.
