Plate Setter

<p />Slip Kid,[p]In my opinion they are well worth the money. I have two of them as well as fire bricks but use the plate setters almost exclusivly now. They are great inverted for indirect cooks and ombined with a pizza stone they are great on there legs for pizza, calzones, quesadillas etc. or even smoked deviled eggs. Very easy to use and so far very durable, I really like them. That being said you can use fire bricks to accomplish most of the above. Have a great night.[p]Chuck

Slip Kid,[p]The main advantage of a setter is convenience. Other than that they do the same things. I prefer a setter but having a couple firebricks is handy for other things too. Get both since the firebricks might set you back only $5 for 4 of them.[p]Tim

Slip Kid,
The plate setter takes up less space than firebricks,
which comes in handy when you're dealing with a drip pan.
Also, you get dual use out of it. I'll put it this way,
If I broke mine, I'd buy another one.
I agree with Tim M that it's good to have the
firebricks, too. I still use them, too.
Slip Kid - Who fan by any chance?
