We endeavoured Stuffed Artichokes

The First Mate prepared them and I steamed them in the egg. They were as big as softballs. Kind of a "Tom Jones" meal.

    Love artichokes what did the very first mate :laugh: use in the preparation?? temps etc??

    not the most photogenic devils, are they?

    how did they come out? i tried chokes, but found that the ones which were available were a little old and less than ideal.

    Not positive, Hamburg, breadcrumbs, Tomato sauce, basel and oregano would be my guess. Put them in a pan with water about 350 for about an hour and a half or untill the leaves pull out easely.

    That sure is a better photo than mine. Mine were the size softballs , but nice and tender. Some are extremely stringy and dry. The First Mate is pretty good at picking out good ones.

    i didn't know how to pick them, frankly. but they were all the same.

    i like that pic, it makes my artichokes look twenty times better than they actually were. hahaha

    but you can't eat a picture! i'm sure yours were a LOT better.
