Messy mustard chicken

I got this recipe off of the wine lovers forum and as you may know I have a fondness for bizarre chicken recipes. The marinade goes like this.
1/2 c dijon mustard
1 T olive oil
2 T white vermouth
1-2 T chopped fresh tarragon
1 egg
Wisk everything together and put in a ziplock with the chix for 8 hours. Here they go on the Egg indirect, raised grid at 350 dome.

With 40 minutes to go, I parked some sweetcorn downstairs.

I think what intrigued me the most was the egg in the marinade. Made some awesome skin. -RP

That sure does look nice. Did you get any of the dijon taste?

How did you like the taste?

Can't say for sure that I could isolate the mustard, just a nice flavor with crispy tasty skin. -RP

Don't limit it to chicken recipes. :woohoo: But you haven't posted a bad one yet. Still have plently of those red things laying around? :(

Sounds great except for the egg. Sure it is just a binder for the other ingrediants. BTW We say your house pics yesterday. Quite the place. Will make it by there on one of the trips. Would love to see in person!

Well I did in my recipe file anyway!
.....
and thanks for the well wishes.

Hey dude, you are always welcome, the kids have flown the coup so there is always room. So far only one Egghead has graced the Price homestead, but a pretty spectacular one, Ken Hess or Hoss'bbq paid a visit last January. -RP

That looked really good!
I take it the egg was to help crisp the skin. I wonder what would happen if you sprinkled a little cornstarch on just before cooking....? -
It didn't need it. -RP

Wow! You really know how to dress up a chicken. In fact, the female staff here at the Chicken Ranch wants me to invite you to come over and spend some time with them. They love guys who know how to dress the girls.
They suggested you visit during the Open Coop Party coming up October 4th. That's when the Ranch Pleasures are free.
