Shrimp Scampi

Looking to do Scampi this weekend.
Is it better to preheat the cooking platter and then add the shrimp + butter or arange the shrimp on a cool platter and add the shooting match at once??

I do my scampi in a CI skillet. I preheat the skillet with the BGE at 375. Once the skillet is hot (10 minutes) i put the butter in the skillet and let it melt then I put in the green onions & white wine. I let all of that get hot and then add the shrimp. i stir for about 2 minutes per side...then I take the scampi off and pour over a plate of pasta...

Don't know what is best, but this is easy.
I put EVOO on the platter, shrimp then my goodies. Egg about 350-400.

Thanks Bill. I think Darnoc got me started on them.
That one is finished. See the nice pink color of being cooked. Bad angle. I orginally bought those for heating then placing a steak on them so the steak sizzles when being served. I like the scampi better.
How about them cooking.
