Morning, noon and night I find myself clicking the refresh button to see who posted what last on the Egghead Forum. I admit it - I'm hopelessly addicted. As long as I don't let it keep me from cooking on the Egg, I figure I'm OK.

Hello Stanley, welcome to the cul% ,I mean club...

the first step is admitting that you have an addiction :P just know you are not alone...we are here to help you through recipe issues, burned gaskets, lump related conversations, which CI skillet do you get, all of these issues...

I have actually stayed awake at night trying to figure out what do I cook next... :silly:

Not a good sign! Sounds like the beginnings of many a sleepless night; the endless accumulation of devices and gadgets; moving valuable and usable garage stuff out of the your way to make room for bags and bags of lump charcoal; reorganization of your harddrive for more file and directory space--not to mention endless pictures made from a newly aquired digital camera, and the purchase of a new belt because somehow the old one will run out of holes.

Welcome aboard. Keep us posted on your progress.

I was only kidding about the new belt.

I'm an addict too! I go from one cook to the next thinking of what is next :woohoo: My wife has given up on the notion that I would cook in the kitchen. She doesn't roll her eyes when I say I want to bake a cake on the BGE. A few weeks ago I made homeade apple strussel muffins for our breakfast at church when everyone brings something that morning for Sunday School. Everyone asks me did you cook that in your egg? They know me well by now

recipe as follows (apple streusel muffins):
    1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
    1/4 cup sugar
    3 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp ground cinamon
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
    1 egg
    1/2 cup milk
    1/4 cup vegtable oil
1 cup shreeded peeled tart apple

    Streussel topping
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    2 tbsp all purpose flour
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

    1/3 cup chopped pecans (optional)

In large bowl mix together dry ingredients. In a small bowl whisk egg milk and oil together. Add wet ingrediants to dry mixture slowly until dry ingrediants moistened. Fold in apples. In another bowl combine topping ingrediants... reserve 3 tbsp of topping.

Spoon have of batter into 12 greased muffin tins. sprinkle with topping. cover with batter to 2/3 full. sprile with reserved topping. bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clen. let cool for about 5 minutes before removing from pan

Sorry about the typos :silly: I should have written half instead of have... and I might have mispelled some other words from typing to fast but the measurements are spot on. B)
