Replacement Grill
A guy I know has a homemade pit made out of pipe. He originally had a grill made of expanded metal that gave out and someone gave him a W**** grill that is the perfect size, but it is the grill made to put the lump charcoal on, not the food. For as I know, that grill is simply steel with no paint or coating of any kind. Is there any reason he should not use it for food?

the charcoal grid tht weber sells is fine to cook on. many of us use them to make raised grids.
anyway. it it WERE coated in painted, it wouldn't be for long.

He needs a new cooking grid, and someone gave him a grid that is made for the charcoal.
