Actually considering packing up the old Weber to take with us for a few nights at a mountian cabin in the woods. There is a gasser on the property but, ugggg.
All Natural Briquetes or BGE Lump?
Will it be difficult to build a fire to last long enough for ribs, or just stick with steaks, chicken, etc?
Should I go through the trouble of taking my ET-73 grid & meat thermometer?
Thanks in advance for opinions / suggestions...

No Egg?
Why are you calling it a vacation?
Are you looking for trouble not eating the food your body has become accustomed to?
Furthermore, some neer-do-well could be lurking waiting for you to leave to steal your Egg! Is that what you want? -
Thats why it is on wheels. So I can roll it inside and lock it up. If someone wants it that bad, I have good insurance.

I always used to use good lump on my kettle and while it wouldn't brun as long as it does in the egg, it burned MUCH longer than briquettes. Getting 5 hours for a 3-1-1 rib session shouldn't be a problem. You might want to keep an extra chimney full on stanby...
