The new handle from Doug123.

Thanks Doug. It feels great to grip this thing when lifting the lid of my large.

A rock? ........that I found in my firebox after a cook using Cowboy lump. Some lessons are learned the hard way.

You call that a rock?
Just wait "bigger" things are sure to pop up in your firebox.
RRP - where's that pic? -
Good looking pizza! Now you just need a small egg to go with the large!!

Don't be makin fun of my rock man.... :silly:
-
You mean pebble?
My record is actually pretty small, not quite tennis ball sized. There have been some doozies posted. RRP keeps his as a collection. -
It seemed bigger when I first found it. Speaking of lump, is the RO available anywhere locally other than RD?
-
Wal-Mart sells the 10# bags - but if you want some at RD let me know and we can swing down there together some time. At $5.99 for 20# you can't beat it. We can go after lunch one day, it is fairly close by.
-
Here you go - actually it had been a larger collection but one day I got to throwing some at a feral cat that was trolling our bird feeders!
Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
LOL.....thanks RP.

Fidel, thanks for the offer. It is one that I will definately take you up on. I hear they have good deals on BB ribs also.

Hey Ron,i'm glad you like the handle
Have you bit the bullet on the small yet?My offer still stands
Hope that you can make it on the 14th
-
Hey Doug.
We ARE going to do the small, but I think we are going to wait a month or so until after we get through the insurance claims for the storms, etc.... we likely be getting a new A/C compressor first.
I am tempted to take you up on your offer right now as we are leaving Saturday for 5 nights at a mountain cabin. But with all the kids stuff, I dont think we will have room. I might take my old Weber Kettle and strap it on the roof of the suv.
We will be there on the 14th. I am thinking beef/pineapple skewers with Ginger Terryaki.

Sounds great Ron.Just give me a call if you want to use the small

I see you are elevating your pizza stone w/ the BGE feet. Is this the preferred way of doing it? Newbie here, sorry for the dumb question.
-
Nice Work!

Thank you LR.I know that they are nothing like yours.I have great respect for the work that you do.I am still learning.Maybe one day

Don't sell yourself short, My Friend. I'm living proof that even a blind squirrel will find an acorn every once and a while.

Best to you.
Mike -
And to you sir

-
I like that "Sir" stuff....I think? Don't get old...it sneaks up on you and suddenly,...you're grouped with folks like Chubby, Spring Chicken, and Sky Rider. (Psssst...this is just a ploy to draw them out).
Good weekend to you.
Mike -
hi, I have been told that by elevating the stone on the feet, it alows better air circulation, but my primary reason for it is the increase of elevation. That extra 1/2" or so is just enough to make it easier to get at with a peel or spatula.
Ron -
Makes sense, thanks Bacchus. Got your PM too, thanks!
