    Rub, Coffee, MollyShark

It's the rub usually used on pork tenderloins, but I've been using it on beef for ages. Have done it at several eggfests and always get rave reviews. Equal parts black pepper, turbinado, kosher salt, and coffee. Whoosh it like mad in a grinder (or blender or a food processor). Spray steak with OO, sprinkle on this stuff. It's quick and it's yummy. I make a huge batch and just keep it in a plastic container.mShark

Dizzy Pig Redeye Express is coffee-based. Steve Raichlen has a coffee-based rub that he used on pork tenderloin: Steve Raichlen Coffee Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Bobby Flay also has a coffee-based rub for steak: Bobby Flay Coffee Rub For Steak

(Edited to fix attribution of the pork tenderloin recipe.)

    Here is a variation.

That's one of the first thing's I cooked on my egg, coffee crusted porkloin, but that's Stephen Raichlen's receipe, not Bobby Flay's.

DOH! You are so right. I'm still getting over this sinus infection or whatever it was and I get real tired in the afternoon. But dang, how could you mistake that photo of SR in those silly sun glasses for anyone else, LOL! Thanks for the correction!

I used DP's "Red Eye Express" on a pork tenderloin and the family went ape over it. I think it was the best I've ever done.
