I know I'm slow to try new products but I just finished my first six pack this week of LandShark and I like it better than Corona. No, I'm not a Parrothead so I don't have allegiance to Corona I'm just saying for a light premium lager I like it. While you might stumble over the pronunciation of the brewer which is spelled Margaritaville Brewing Company the proper pronunciation is "Anheuser-Busch"

I consider Corona w/o the lime to be a pretty good pilsner. -RP

    Randy,
I just assumed you would have been at Austin today. Conflict?

Yea me and my ridding partner got into a half case of them then I did the AZRP shrimp and caveman pork Wendsday. I'm more of a Dark/stout/porter man myself but it was free :woohoo: and actually pretty good. Doesn't have the "whang" Corona has to me.

we used to be able to get 30 packs of Genessee Summer Brew for $10.
add a lime to one and it tasted like a corona.
so we started adding lime to any cheap lighter beers we could find.
    they all tasted like corona.

in conclusion, you can drink cheap beer without lime, but you cant drink corona without it. it tastes terrible.

not that i have a drinking problem or anything.

Naw, just got back from Waldorf, they were just scheduled too close. I've never seen this Land Shark, is that a local brew? -RP

Actually Corona is a pretty good Pilsner, and I never could understand why people put limes in any beers. -RP

Just polished off a 12 of LandShark with my brother over some ribs. I'm a big fan of the beer and not a Parrot Head at all.

When I first tried LandShark at the Beermaster School at Busch Gardens (highly recommended, BTW), I remember them saying that it was first being test marketed in Florida. It may have spread further into the nation by now. I've never paid for Landshark (yet), but I do love Corona light. It has an almost identical taste w/ less calories than Corona.

When I pop down for the Peoria Eggfest I'll bring you down some Raspberry Wheat beer made by a Peterborough micro-brewery. It's a nice, light summer beer with a wicked aftertaste. I brought a few down and quaffed them with Jeeves Friday night before the Texas Eggfest. It got the thumbs up from him.

Sounds good to me, Cory! BTW I'll be sending you an email tomorrow with all the addresses you'll need for your GPS for testing, eating and the Peoria Eggfest on June 7th...let alone getting back to the airport that day. Not sure that our asphalt eggfest can hold a candle to the beauty of Lake Austin so bring rose colored glasses...or more beer!
