Was in Syracuse, NY last week and picked up the cookbook from Dinosaur BBQ...tried the meat loaf and honey-jalapeno cornbread tonight with some planked mashed taters and asparagus...as stated by someone else on this forum...the meat loaf and corn bread are to die for!!...

That is one great looking meal. I'm torn between burgers and meatloaf tomorrow. I think your post has decided it for me. Care to share the recipe?

Mike, the cornbread and meatloaf came from the dinosaur bbq cookbook and I went with that with a couple of modifications, i.e. I used Splenda instead of sugar in the cornbread..made some other slight mods..adapted for the egg..the meatloaf is a pretty involved cook because you have to make the sauce also..I will try to get these typed in and added to a thread, but if I forget (going to play golf shortly), please remind me...don't mind sharing at all... :P ..oh yeah.. took one of the wife's old bread pans and drilled holes in it for drainage to make the meatloaf...then set on small indirect over drip pan at 350 w/mesquite smoke for 1 1/2 hrs...

Wow, that looks super, ET. Can't say I've seen better looking mashed potatoes.

BTW, is THIS the cookbook your used?

LR, see the link in my post in this thread...I looked at the online table of contents at Amazon and I'm pretty sure this is the cookbook he used. I'll wait for his response, but I'm cocked and locked, ready to buy it when he says it's the one.

Yep that's it Jeffers...I bought mine while at the restaurant in Syracuse last week, but it looks the same..I simply adapted the meat loaf and cornbread recipes to the egg...there are some really good recipes in this book including Mutha Sauce bbq sauce, roasted garlic, bleu cheese dressing and many others...definitely worth the purchase...

Thanks, ET. I just ordered mine on Amazon. It's gotten rave reviews there, too.
