I really wanted to have a brat last night but they didn't have any at Superfresh. I found this at Lowes or HD last weekend. I always forget to oil my grate. I sprayed it straight into the burning lump no problem.
Here the Eggshot. I've got the pretty copper pan in my cart at amazon just waiting to add a few more things.
And the plated sandwich. I got beer since I thought the brats would be swimming in it,

BTW,I have not oiled a cooking grate since I got my first egg. -
Nice pictures! I sure wouldn't mind having some sausage for breakfast this morning. On a side note: I have never oiled any of my grates. I guess the olive oil I rub on the skinless chicken breasts keeps them from sticking.

You've got to love them Sausage and Peppers; looks great.

Instead of the aerosol spray I bought a cheap pump sprayer at Bed, Bath & Beyond and spritz the grates when needed with EVOO or any other oil for that matter. It also works great when you need to put a light oil on something like pizza crust without using a brush or other utensil. I'm all about ease of cleanup!

Great idea, Tom...I've got some sweet Italian sausages in the fridge and will put those on the cooker this evening. I completely forgot about those sausages in the fridge until I saw your post. Thanks!
