Well I'm cookin the ribs and drinking the 'cains! B) Afterlast nights wally world pizza had to do something decent. After being double charged by my butcher (66 bucks for 2 racks baby backs, 2 links aundui sausage, 1 lb fresh sausage, 7 slices pepper bacon, 1 1/2 lb ground chuck? )got them on about 1 1/2 hr ago. My home rib rub (recipe on request) and on at 265 using the "Q" today. Spraying every 45 min or so with Turkey and Coke, 1 spray for the ribs two for me ;. Nice 83 degrees in S Ark so a nice home made huricane was in order. 3 OZ pineapple, 3 oz fresh orange, 1 oz passion fruit syrup, 3 oz rum, 1 oz grinadin in a TALL glass. Little Jimmy Buffet on the computer and alls well. Got that feed at my ridding buddys tonight with shrimp from sout La., bugs, ribeyes on his home made grill I got him to at least toss the Kingsford, and my Baby backs. Should be a good feed and will post pics of it if I can. Sorry for not awnsering and being as active on the forum of late. Spring time on the farm is a hectic time. Finnished planting garden today. New ribeye less than an hr old. :woohoo:

Looks like a great sacrifice ;) . Sounds like a good time will be had tonight. The ribs look great. Never thought of using the cooks spray for the ribs but I'm gonna have to try it.
    Thanks for the tip

Coke is actually acidic and tinderizes a little as well as keeping moist and Turkey just helps everything out B) . Forgot the garden pic.

Wish I had the room for something like that. Have Romaine, Jalepenos, Roma & Big Boy tomatoes going now in pots & almost ready to put in the ground. The squirrels are getting into everything. The dog just plays with them. . Maybe I need a cat, Jake or Rodney Dangerbird  .

If you look carefully at the small romaine and brocley plot in forground you will see some small white pvc "sticks". They got electric wire running on top of them as well as all seed rows in big garden to deal with the critters and around the whole thing. Every once and a while I get into it. Not real pleasent!!! :S

    Hey DP!

I'm following along, buddy. Got the chicken leg quarters you recommended on the LBGE now. Hopefully they'll be done before I have to leave in a bit. Kids should like 'em, though. I'm with you on the hectic schedule thing, man--not enough hours in the day. I've been taking advantage of whatever time I have available to do everything that needs to be done around the house, leaving little time to post on the forum. Shoot...I haven't been taking too many pics of the food, either.

TX Eggfest is coming up soon...you sure you can't make it down here on the scooter? Weather's been really nice down here. Enjoy your nice rib dinner, and I'll show the kids the picture of the new ribeye ;)

Would LOVE to make the fest but not enough vacation. Taking big ride up into NM, AZ, UTAH and Colaroda in July. Dreading TX. no offence but its a LOOOONG way from Texarkana to the NM state line west of Amerillo! Quarters are the way to go IMO but don't over cook. With the longer days and warm weather would think BBQ weather but in reality I have more time to do exocitic in winter cooks than now!

looks like a good time for you tonight. hope the wife is driving.
could you provide a bit more detail about the little electric fence to keep the critters out ? neighbors get a bit irritated with my gamo
and the laser sighted pistol i don't think the camo shirt, sunglasses and beer do much for their sense of security either

I should have a shut off valve but I don't. Don't feel so good. More shrimp, ribeyes and ribs than a large family should eat and I did that by my self!  We could have feed half of China with what we ate. Two racks of baby backs, 25 lbs shrimp (didn't cook'em all), 7 ribeyes, aunduia and all the trimings. Didn't take many pics but a few of friend who brought shrimp and ONE of my plates.
