login each time & text size

Do you have to log in each time you visit the forum? I'm having to, but usually on other message boards, the cookie stores your id so you are logged in automatically. The problem is that each time I login, the view is different and I have to reselect 'threaded view' - even after reading a thread and going back out to the forum, it changes again to the latest post view.

Also -
I read a post about font sizes tied in with a cookie, but I'm having various font size issues, for instance, in this post, the text description field is tiny (name/handle, email, subject, etc) - regardless of what I click above in the font size section. I'm using firefox, do I have to use a different browser? On the main forum, the description field text size is larger than this one.

Currently, the login times out in only an hour of inactivity. We have changed the configuration to make it 24 hours, but it did not work properly. We are still investigating why. Also, the "remember me" isn't working. We will fix this also. These two repairs might ease the login inconvenience.

At the moment, the post form is not affected by the font size selection. We are working on a new template which will address the font size and screen width issues all at once. In the meantime, I'll take a look at doing some "quick" fixes for some of the most annoying issues, like the post form.
