Was just cruising ebay and was wondering if anyone has ordered any of the woodchunks froom any of the sellers. Or are there any good sites that sell wood cheapWas also curious as to which wood most people prefer. I wouldn not want anything overpowering. Was leaning towards apple, pecan and cherry as to the first I would try. Cook mostly chicken and ribs.

My favorites are apple, hickory, mesquite & cherry in that order. Been favoring apple lately for the subtle flavor but try to keep most on hand for my (the wife's) mood swings  Get mine from my local BGE dealer. Probably pay more but the stuff he gives me definately offsets the cost.

Those are all good choices. The main woods I use for smoking are: hickory, apple, oak/Jack Daniels, and mesquite. I've got some pecan and maple, too. Haven't tried any cherry, but would like to do some soon. Of all the different woods, though, I'd have to say that the apple and hickory combination is good for just about anything.
