We Need A Name - For A BBQ Joint

My best friend and I are opening up a BBQ concession and we need a good, original name. We couldn't think of a better group to ask than our fellow eggheads. Any replies are greatly appreciated but unfortunately you won't win anything if we pick your name...except maybe some free Q if you're ever in the St. Augustine area. Thanks to all that respond.

have a great evening -
I was in the restaurant business for 20+ years and owned 5 different restaurants. Naming the restaurant was always one of the hardest parts, and I never did come up with what I though was a great name for whatever restaurant I was opening. I always saw other operations that seemed to really catch the "essence" of their restaurant in their name...something that people remembered, something that was different, mine was always lacking this aspect. Eventually, it didn't matter, as people got to know us, but it really helps if you can come up with a GREAT name right away. There is a saying "what's in a name?"...in the restaurant it is A LOT.
I don't have a name for you(still thinking), but I do have some advice: Try and find something unique, something catchy, and something that will set you apart from the pack. I hope somebody will help you in this quest as it is an important part of the restaurant business. Something really catchy in barbecue???? come on Eggers...there has to be something different that will help. -
How about "The new BBQ place". Every will talk about the new bbq place just because of the name.
-
Really on TWO possibilities here..
GREEN EGGS 'N BBQ
or
GREEN EGGS 'N PORK

How about Gator Bones or
Ponce de Le Bones

Sauce 'n Surf

After living in FL for 10 years i know if you name it Sonny's people will show up but they might sue...... :woohoo: ....
I'll go now............ -
so the dude that comes up with the kick ass name you've been looking for, the one that people will readily identify, and which will grow into a local legend, perhaps leading to other restaurants under the same name, and with the potential for licensing t-shirts and other stuff, and which could conceivably be the trademark of an enterprise successful enough to befranchised, this guy, upon supplying the name, "might" get a free plate of 'q?
i say, the person that gives you THE perfect name should at least get a free t-shirt, bro. and free 'q once a week for life.
i have THE perfect name. but i'm waiting for the stakes to get raised!
(i gut no name forya... but good luck. we all deep down wanna open a 'Q joint!)ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
BBQ-4U!
It's quick catchy and easy to write on your tax forms. Plus you can buy letters anywhere, to make advertising easy! I'll take my q now.... -
My luck I'll win the T-shirt. Just what I need.
-
When I think BBQ I think no more of Sonny's and I think Pizza Hut for pizza. IMHO
-
How about Ribs and Bibs
If you did chicken it could be mother cluckers
My advice is be sure once you get a name that it is not taken and it is not that of a competition team. -
If it is real good chicken it could be "bad as mother cluckers".
-
Has nobody suggested Oldcity BBQ? Seems like a natural
another with local flavor.
Bridge of Loins BBQ
I can see the t-shirts now with the smoke rising from the pictresque old span. Perfect. -

My guess would be St. Augustine BBQ With a slogan "Blessed BBQ". If you use this I expect free BBQ for me and the wife every time we come down there
