Teriyaki Butterflied (spatchcocked) Chicken

I'm planning on doing a couple of chickens on the egg tomorrow. But I plan on cutting the backs out of them, and letting them set in the fridge overnite covered in teriyaki sauce.[p]I'm just wondering if anyone else has done this, and how it turned out.

DavidR,
Should be very good. Save those backbones for broth!
Enjoy.
Go Terps.

Forgot to mention, loosen the skin and spoon in some marinade under the skin of the breast and thighs. Throw in a little roasted garlic to the marinade for a nice treat.[p]Cheers!
