I have a large Kitchen Aid stand mixer as well as one of their largest food processors. My question is will the processor do as good of a job kneading the dough as the stand mixer does.I can't believe that in twenty or more years that I have never tried to mix bread or pizza dough in the processor.Guess I thought that the slow mixing action of the stand unit would do a better job as you would by kneading by hand. But who does that any more?Thoughts or any first hand experience?

  • I use to use the kichen Aid, but I went to the food processor and found for my self I like it better. I allways over kneeded the dough in the Kitchen Aid. The Processor you can tell when it's ready to pull out.

That is a cool looking pasta attachment you have there.I use a Kitchen Aid pasta attachment on my mixer and was not aware that they had a sheet roller as well.Guess the wife is going to say "you want a what" my answer. You can't take it with you and go watch TV.Now that is just between us guys. Thanks for the input.

i bought the kitchen aid for my wife a couple years ago. when i bought it you could send in a registration form and recieve either the pasta rollers or get the ice cream attachment. i have a ice cream maker. so we opted for the rollers. i have made pasta about 5 times 3 in the last 2 weeks. i think i have it down now :S :ermm:
