Pizza Party

Wife says I have to cook pizzas on the egg for my son's up coming bday party. I have done a pile of pizzas over the years, but does anyone have a strategy for having 10 pizzas done, hot and ready to eat at approximately the same time. I have a mental picture of being trampled by 30 5 year olds and their parents while the pizzas come off one at time every 8 minutes for an hour and half. I was thinking maybe of doing in advance and warming in the oven?
Thanks in advance

You could par bake the crusts to cut down on cooking time of each pizza. Also if you par bake the crust the kids could help make their own pizzas. Now this could be messy of course yet the kids would love it. Also how many eggs do you have? Hoss

conudrum,
She said "You have to"? I would be flyin out to my dealer and get the neccessary number of eggs to accomplish the task she has laid out for you. Honey you said I had to.

My ploy would be to visit a local pizzaria and pick up as many pie boxes as you think you'll need. Then get some insulated food bags (like Therm-A-Snap) which are sold relatively inexpensive at many supermarkets. Together with an oven you should be able to make it a go. Good luck!

seems easy enough, all you have to do is "cook" them, im assuming she is going to stretch the dough and assemble all those pies.
it only takes a couple minutes at 900 a pie, but you need someone that is prepping things to keep up. i kinda like the semiprecook crust idea, add the toppings and throw them back in at high heat to melt the cheese fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
I have had a pizza party with 30 adults at my house last winter.
At the time I had only 1 Egg, so what I did was start a pizza shortly before people started to arrive and just kept making pizza while people arrived, bringing with them their assigned topping for the pizza.
That is right, as people RSVPed to my party they were assigned a topping to bring with them for the pizzas, it was a great concept and everyone loved it.
I think if you have one or two pizzas done and warming in the oven, one on the Egg and you just keep making them until reach the number you want to make you should be fine.
The downside is, you will not be able to help with the other parts of the party while on pizza duty.

First, how old is your son?
Personally, my son will be 4 in March, and I have talked about having a pizza party for him.
However, I would like he and his friends to work on making the pizzas and I would cook them on the EGG. I figured that this would be fun for them to do.
Heck if they wanted to make a chocolate sauce pizza with sausage
, who cares. Let them have fun with it.

He'll be in 5 in February. I don't think my house could survive much participation in the construction process

I think keeping me otherwise occupied is part of the idea

I know what you mean. Could be a disaster, but my son really likes to make the pizzas with me.
However if I were to multiply that by 10 who knows what could happen or get destroyed.
