# of messages per page in "flat mode"

seems like the responses per page per thread are limited to 10, then require clicking 'next' or '2'. Is this a page load issue, or is there a way to display say 25 per page? Some of our threads get a lot of responses, but usually most of them don't have much content. I've used other forums where you can set # of threads to display per page.
