Hey y'all, I'm about to vulcanize a NY strip on the egg and I've got some thick-sliced, portabellas to go with it. Question is, how to cook them? On the grate or in a cast iron pan? I've got all kinds of condiments (balsamic, EVOO, spices & all), so if you've got a quickie, I'd love to try it! Bucs just scored so it's neck & neck for now! Tryin' to keep cool here in FL~![p]Rascal

Rascal,[p]We like to marinate along with 1/2 thick cut sweet onions in Italian Salad dressing for 20 minutes or so and then either just cook on BGE in a basket for 15-20 minutes or wrap in HDAF and place with main course about 30-45 minutes depending on temp.

Man that looks good. WISH wifey would've gotten the steaks that think LOL I've TRex-d steaks 4 or 5 times so far and got to be the best way ever to do them. and Now I have to stop by the store on the way home form working today to get some Mushrooms LOL
