Just got an awesome early Christmas Present..
So my wife surprised me Today. She went with me down to our BGE dealer here in Northwest Arkansas, and as an early Christmas, early Birthday, and Early Father's day present she got me a Large BGE. We had talked about that, so that wasn't too big of a surprised, but she got the compact table as well and that was a huge surprise. [p]So anyway, now I'm waiting with quite a bit of anticipation, it may be here as early as next Friday. The best news though is now I know what I'm using to smoke the turkey for Church, after slaving with a traditional grill/smoker for 12-15 hours, I am really looking forward to something that holds the temperature.[p]Anyway Just wanted to say Hello, as I'm just waiting for delivery to be the next "hooked" BGE owner.

Had mine for 6 or 8 weeks just love it,had all the others .this is the BEST!
We are in a ice snow storm today ,Beef stew at 5 or 6 tonight.

Mark,[p]Congrats on the new Egg! I'm an Egghead down Central Arkansas. I've had my egg for 2 weeks now and absolutely love it.[p]I smoked a 14 lb turkey with apple wood for Thanksgiving in about 5 hours and it was probably the best turkey I have ever put in my mouth.[p]

Mark Jamison, Welcome from a newbie too! Had mine for almost 2 months and I'm still like a kid with a new toy! I came here months earlier and after reading all the posts I was sorta primed with some of the basics when my BGE arrived. Got lots of help from generous people here and I'm well along the way to understanding how the Egg works. Fire building & temp control will have you inventing new words at times, but soon you'll be giving advice to others. Post some pictures of your "present" doing its thing! Happy EGGIN'![p]Rascal
