Chili Party was Great!!

Well, the Chili by the lake party went really well. We hosted about 20-25 people who brought, 7 types of Chili, 4 types of corn bread and jalapeno bread, Potatoes, brownies, grilled bourbon pinapple, brownies, salsa, and all the fixins, including Cherrios for the chili(ask GrillGurl). [p] The forum was well represented, and we were honored to have Smokey(Damon), and GrillGurl(Cheryl) and her husband Greg attend. These are some the best and genuine folks you could ever meet. Their great attitudes and lightheartedness make them "must haves" at any party! The long drive south that both endured, made their presence even more special. For those who could not attend, we will throw another party again come spring. We need to get some Atlanta area eggers together! [p] All in all, we had a great time, and we even learned that cherrios are really good in chili. Really!

    Terry, having you, and Leah there would've been great! I've got a buddy who always takes pretty good pics at my parties(although he will attempt to catch someone in an compromising pose), and I should have them later this week, if I see him at work(holiday). Everyone went home smiling with a full belly and sore jaws from all the laughter. Great group of folks! Yall would've fit right in.
    Any plans through the holidays for visiting your Mom?

    Cherrios in chili? Oh Boy...seeing I've been blasted many times about putting beans and tomoatoes in chili you might want to brace yourself! LOL

    Big'un,[p]My excuse for not showing was taking my two girls to basketball tryouts (and getting roped into coaching this winter) as well as preparing for my 14 year olds birthday party/sleepover which involved having 8 loud high energy kids staying the night.[p]I will make an effort to come this Spring - it's hard to beat Egret's Cow Lickin chili, but I do an interesting variation of chili known as "Chili con mucho cerveza". I suspect you don't require a translation of the name :-)[p]Roudy
