Roasting Pan for egg use

Unknown
edited November -0001 in EggHead Forum
I'm doing Turkey on the egg for the first time and was wondering if I should invest in a seperate roasting pan for the egg? I would like to use the expensive roasting pan I already own. But will the expensive roasting pan get hammered? I'm guessing because it is not a high temp cook it should be alright.

  • cp,
not sure what you mean by 'hammered'.. .. you can use any pan/pot/etc. that you would use on your stove/oven, in your egg at the same temps you would in your stove/oven, with no fear of damage (tip= that pan doesn't know oven from egg, it only knows 'temps') . . .it make take a little more clean up than when you use it in your oven, but don't let that stop you from using it in the egg. ...[p]i use all my kitchen stuff (cast iron, le creuset, french white casseroles, etc) in the eggs ... .
