Sausage patties

Has anyone made sausage burgers instead of hamburgers, if so how did you fix them. I start midnights tonight and thought I would make these and put a egg on it and have a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, they've got to be better than store bought if they come off the egg.Thanks

    Chef Boy RC, Bulk sausage is very much like hamburger meat (with perhaps a little more fat). I don't know why you couldn't grill the patties as you do burgers. I'd try slicing the the tube type (J. Dean, etc.) adding your favorite spice and searing them over a hot fire. With an egg on a bun it's gotta be a great way to start the day![p]Rascal

    I cook them a lot. Take homemade sausage if you can. Make some nice patties. Put some evoo on a plate, Dizz Dust them. Cook like hamburgers, top off with Swiss or Hot Pepper Cheese.[p]Mike

    i think these were fresh keilbasa with the skin removed and just rolled up and pressed. worked good. another way is to put the sausage in pie crust and cook it. small pies are as good as a sandwich[p]a03d0156.jpg
