My firebox broke into 3 pieces a couple of weeks ago, after a bit over 3 years of use. Called my dealer, they said bring it in and we'll give you a new one. Brought it in, and they gave me a new one. No hassle, no problem. My dealer is an area distributer (Outdoor Home, Springfield, MO.), so I may be lucky, but just wanted to give props for great service from a member of the Egg team. They even carry Dizzy Pig Rubs, which is another plus :-)

Basscat,[p]Great dealers really make the BGE experience that much better.

  • Fidel,[p]I guess I'm going to find out --[p]My ring went "pop" yesterday in my Medium, while heating up a regular-sized load-a lump. My wife bought the Egg for me [B-day present] a little over a year ago, and she trashed the receipt...[p]So.... I'll be going in to my neighborhood dealer without paperwork...[p]We'll see... we'll see...[p]~ B

Broc, just across the Muddy Mo from Omaha,[p]If you sent in the registration you'll have no need for receipts. You can always check with the mothership to see if it is registered.[p]Also, you can cook with a cracked firebox. Mine has been cracked for a long time. Never even given any thought to replacing it.
