chad,[p]No rub, no injection, good lump, some hickory chunks, maybe some apple or cherry chips. 250* dome till its done.[p]Don't get much easier than that. And it will be awesome.

Just to add what might be the obvious--make sure that you cook it indirect, it is done somewhere around 195-200 degrees internal, and it'll be hours and hours before it is done (apprximately 1.5-2 hours per pound).

next to all the great suggestions below...[p]the absolute easiest way is to pay me to cook you a pork butt on my egg.[p]sorry... couldn't help it.

chad,[p]You can figure 1.5 to 2 hours per pound. I have had an 11 pounder go 24 hours once. Rare but it happens.[p]Mike
