SweetPotato vs Baked Potato

SweetPotatoe ,[p]I wrap them just because they tend to seep some goo during the cook. I rub with crisco and wrap in HDAF.[p]350 for 90 minutes should do the trick unless they are very large. Just check for softness to verify they are done throughout.

I don't wrap my sweet taters, just rub with olive oil, stick with a fork in a few places, and grill at 300 for
40-50 minutes, maybe up to 1 hour if you like them nice and soft. Yum.

SweetPotatoe ,
The choice is yours.I like a crispy skin so I don't foil them.

SweetPotatoe ,[p] Sweet Taters can be done wrapped in foil or unwrapped. If you don't wrap them then I'd put something under them, because they will drip sweetness all over the place.[p] Don't waste your olive oil on a sweet potato The oil really don't do much for you except to keep the skin soft so it peels easy. Vegetable oil will do the same for ya. [p] Personally I just wash mine off and wrap them in foil while they are wet. Just bake them in the foil till they squeeze easily. Peel them, mash them and load them up with butter. Add some Cinnamon sugar for added flavor.

<p />SweetPotatoe ,

here's what i do... and they get done faster this way[p]cut em in half, lengthwise
make "flavor cuts"® in the flesh about 3/4's of the way through being careful to not puncture the skin on the bottom of the "boat"
a little olive oil, salt & pepper, cinnamon, allspice
cook along side of whatever else you are cooking. about 30-45 minutes at medium heat
when a fork goes in easily, add a little butter and brown sugar
when the sugar melts, they are done!
