Suck Creek Wings

Anyone have a good one? I checked the recipe database and there is one, but I was hoping I could find one that was quicker than 2.5-3 hours. [p]Thanks.

Suck Creek Wings,
I do 3 1/2-4 pound birds beer can indirect 350F takes 75-90 minutes on a large.

Suck Creek Wings,
I generally do 4 at a time on my lg. Season inside and out with your favorite chicken rub. 350 to 375 direct for about 1 ½ hrs or until the wing pulls off easily. I use 4# to 5# fryers. Try to keep as much clearance between the chickens as possible and place so your dome thermometer doesn’t touch the chicken. You can get 5 on the large if you work at it but I find 4 works the best. Good luck.

That chicken looks like a ghost. You would think that at 400 for one hour it would brown up.Looks funny to me.

hayhonker,
First of all - was that Christopher Walken? Almost certainly was.[p]Second of all - yeah, there's no way that chicken is done in 1 hour. I think 1.5 at least. [p]Interesting little recipe though and a fun clip.

Suck Creek Wings, I did my first one yesterday and it was fab! A 4.25 pounder which I rubbed with olive oil and Paul Prudhomme's Poultry Magic. Cooked it on a vertical roaster with some south-of-the-border (C) beer for about 1.5 hours at 350. Added various pepper & onion slices that had been tossed with salt, pepper, garlic powder (Paula's House Seasoning) and olive oil to the tray for the last 30 minutes. Best chicken ever! Good luck![p]Rascal
