new egg,
if you use it in your oven or on your stove, you can easily use it in your egg. .. just follow the same temperature constraints that you would in your kitchen. .. i use le creuset enameled coated cast iron all the time, and i use tin lined copper pans in my eggs as well (subject to a 450 degree limit so the tin won't melt). . i use 'french white' souffle bowls in the egg and other casserole dishes as well. .. [p]as for clean-up, so is easier than others (folks recommend to coat the outside of the vessel with dish soap prior to cooking so that smoke won't stick to the dish). .. .but i'm also not one who worries about a few smoke stains on a cooking dish. .. .it doesn't make any difference to how well it cooks. . . [p]so ....go for it !!
