cooking pork chops

I just made the most delicious meal. dryrub the chops with whatever and puy them 360 for about 30 min. add the frozen bisquits 10 min before the chops are done, slice some zucchini lengthwise ,sprinkle olive oil, add salt and pepper, put on same time as bisquits. I have a $1600.00 convection oven in the house, it will be used for display. I made mashed potatoes with cr cheese and sour cream spinkled with onion powder and garlic powder in the regular oven. All I wanted to eat were the chops and zucchini. Great Grillin! cindi

  • cindiss100,
Will you marry me?? lol. That does sound yummy, how thick were those pork chops? I like to grill’em at about 1.5 inches thick.

    GaryJ,
I like pork chops – thin, thick it really does not matter. My wife prefers thin chops 1/2 inch but wants them moist. I just got a Large BGE a few weeks ago (early fathers day). In the past it was very tricky to get the thin chops right. On Wed night cooked the first ones in the egg. I put Tony Chachere’s (Creole seasoning) on one side and Adkin’s Western rub on the other. I let the egg climb to 650, put the chops on for 2 minutes flipped them left them for 2 minutes flipped and turned (for nice grill marks) for 2 minutes and flip for 2 more minutes. They turned out perfect: extremely moist with very nice grill marks on the outside. These were the best I have ever cooked. I love my egg.

  • GaryJ, Hey! I chose the thin ones at 2.49 lb. They were still juicy at 350 for 30 min. cindi
