Where to buy flat/think skewers?

Unknown
edited November -0001 in EggHead Forum
I'm looking to buy some flat and thin Stainless Steel skewers that i've seen in some restaurants and BBQ shows. I've noticed that the skinny round skewers have trouble turning some meat and vegetables.

    MG,
Don't know about any metal ones, but bought these at World market in Melbourne Fl about a year ago and they are great, little sharp at the point. Used them for shrimp kabobs today

<p />MG,[p]In your quest, if you happen across any that are really long, they can be bent in a U shape and sharpened on each end. You run both tines through your meat, shrimp or whatever and it allows turning without the food spinning. Here is a design from my "workshop collection" of BBQ gadgets. I need to find a slightly heavier gage of stainless rod and they would be perfect. [p]On big shrimp (that doesn't sound right, does it?) you can use two regular skewers about 1" apart, but the U shaped ones are way handier.[p]~thirdeye~
