Can anyone give me the weight of the small with the firebox and fire ring removed. Thanks! I'm looking for one to take on vacations with me. The Mini looks awful small but I'm not quite sure I want to lug aroung a small.

    Earl J,
The small weighs 65 to 70 pounds so maybe without the firebox and ring maybe 50 to 55 pounds. you can cook quite a bit in the mini just depends what you are cooking.

    eggfoot,
You gave him the technical data but remember, 70 pounds is 100 pounds to a senior citizen. And that's the truth...[p]Spring "Weight 'n See" Chicken

    Earl J,
I travel full time in a motorhome and carry a small. It's worked out great. It is very capable. A friend has a mini and it's too small for many things.[p]I built a nest for it and I can lift it without problem. [p]Mike

    Spring Chicken,
Now how did you know I was a senior citizen, just barely? No, it is true, 25-30 years ago I wouldn't have even hesitated about 65 pounds, a hundred pound sack of spuds was no problem. I probably would have been stupid enough to try carrying my large if my arms were a little longer. The things I used to lift easily now seem to be glued to the floor. :-)

    Earl J,
Simple... Your profile said "Retired." I was just guessing that you didn't retire filthy rich at a very early age. Another words, you're just like the rest of us retired folks. Welcome...[p]Spring "Retired Is A Profession Too" Chicken
