Pizza Cook

I replaced my large big green egg With a With a new big large green egg about a year ago…long story.
I cook a lot of pizzas. I found in my new big green egg. The pizzas aren’t cooking as well as they did in the older one.  I don’t get the char on the crust like in the past. I am literally doing everything the exact same way same dough, same type of charcoal, I let it preheat with the stone in it. The only difference is that in my old egg I had a kick ash basket.  I am using the standard great in the bottom of the new big green egg.  I don’t fully understand what is going on  I suspect it has something to do with airflow, but I wanted to check in with the experts.  Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

Pizza in a large is closer to the radiant heat of the dome.  Maybe cook a little higher in temp and let it preheat a little longer in the xl
