I wish some production company would do a series on the logistics to move all this gear around the world and get it ready to race.  From Vegas to Qatar in 8 days!

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Dislike from me. This event is a pain in the butt. It is impressive, hopefully they can get through this year without any mishaps like the previous years. We have rain scheduled this week until Friday.

Edit to say at least the course looks like an upside down pig.

Weather seems cool and little rain in the forecast. Let's see if Lando can run the table again this weekend. I'll be able to watch as our good friends at Disney and Google reached an agreement to restore ABC and ESPN. Yes, a documentary of the F1 logistics on teams and support gear would be an interesting show.

I found this short F1 video, gives a high level of moving the show from town to town.

Rain and our, now world famous, loose manhole cover’s disrupted practice last night. It’s currently raining right now.

    Tonight's starting grid:

For a third race in a row, it's Lando Norris who will start from pole position at the Las Vegas Grand Prix as he looks to cement his 2025 Formula 1 championship lead.

He will share the front row with Max Verstappen, one of Norris's two remaining F1 title rivals - with the other, Oscar Piastri, lining up fifth in the second McLaren.

Carlos Sainz was a standout third for Williams ahead of George Russell. Mercedes avoided penalty for failing to send its set-up sheets before its cars headed out for qualifying - as it transpired they had been sent, and that IT security issue meant they had not been received on time.

Lewis Hamilton qualified slowest and will start last for Ferrari.

Las Vegas GP provisional starting grid

    1 Lando Norris (McLaren)
    2 Max Verstappen (Red Bull)
    3 Carlos Sainz (Williams)
    4 George Russell (Mercedes)
    5 Oscar Piastri (McLaren)
    6 Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls)
    7 Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin)
    8 Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls)
    9 Charles Leclerc (Ferrari)
    10 Pierre Gasly (Alpine)
    11 Nico Hulkenberg (Sauber)
    12 Lance Stroll (Aston Martin)
    13 Esteban Ocon (Haas)
    14 Ollie Bearman (Haas)
    15 Franco Colapinto (Alpine)
    16 Alex Albon (Williams)
    17 Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes)
    18 Gabriel Bortoleto (Sauber)
    19 Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull)
    20 Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari)

Lights out in a few hours!

I see the weather forecast doesn't include rain for the race, hope that holds true. Lando looking good in the wet, hope he can do the same in the dry. When I would go to Sebring and had precipitation we would call it a "Dry Rain".

    Enjoy the race....

I look at a round of rain (not the whole race) as introducing another variable that the teams need to address. Changes up the strategy and I think puts more emphasis on the drivers.  But the main thing is racing and I hope it is clean with minimal flags.

It’s been a cloudy, overcast day. No rain in the valley, mid 60’s should be a cool race with no rain.

Agree.. different conditions throughout a weekend allows a driver to showcase their skills and ability to adapt. Yes, another vote for minimal flags.

The race was pretty straight forward after the first lap.  Verstappen made a great move to grab the lead in turn one and never looked back.  Both McLarens were DQ'd on a technical issue.
